It seems that it's not just Royal Mail deliveries that have been delayed this Christmas. Are the reindeer working to rule? It looks as though they have left him stranded!
This is the third, and in some spots on this road, the fourth time this year the road has been closed for "resurfacing". This time it is for "sweeping" - whatever that is.
City Fibre are steadily working their way around Caversham and laying telecoms cables.
The asphalt that covered the manhole covers after the resurfacing of the road has now been removed from the surface and around the covers. I have been told that they now apply a different form of tarmac around these.
We were wrong when we thought the "surfacing works" were to add the road markings and remove asphalt that partially covered the manhole covers after the resurfacing a few weeks ago. They have added another layer of asphalt to the surface and completely covered the manhole covers. We assume they will be cleared in the not too distant future.
