Garden snail
These abound in our garden and are mostly nocturnal but do come out into the garden after rain. During the hot months here they find a dark shady nook to hide, keep cool and sleep.
The snails found in our garden are an introduced species, having two pairs of tentacles, rather than one pair as in native Australian snails and slugs.
