This goes back to the beginning when I started taking photographs. To re-view old images can be good and this one I still like.

50/52: Project 52 - Follow the path
#5 in my 100 x challenge - Monochrome

It's such a dull drizzly day today but I thought I would get out to try to get a pathway shot. I had the village church in mind but didn't like the shots I got so walked around the village and came across this lovely cottage, I've actually photographed the gate before. I took a very quick shot as I am a bit nervous of photographing houses ever since a woman came running after me asking why I was taking a photo of her house.

I decided on back and white not solely because my 100 x theme this year is monochrome but also because the weather was so overcast I felt it looked better in b/w. I loved the look of the cottage with it's pretty path and gate, as well as the planters either side of the door and along the path. I decided a border completed the look of an old b/w photo.
