The launches of the Falcon 9 are getting to be an almost weekly event here (dogs aren't too happy) --- here's a somewhat more detailed image as it leaves our atmosphere.
First stage lasts 161 seconds and gets moving at about 3,360 MPH -- Second stage gets fast at 5,590 MPH (Note the average bullet travels only 1,700 miles per hour).
What really blows my mind is the 12 MPH it's traveling when she so gently (and loudly) touches back down.
