6th plate daguerreotype I found at an antique shop over the weekend. Its always fun to find these photos out in the "wild" so to speak. It doesn't happen often enough anymore so when you do its exciting. Now on to this bold and brash granny . I mean what an outfit very different from the typical old lady garb. She was ready to have her likeness taken and was not afraid to express herself. I love it! Her dress and fingerless lace gloves to that large floral bowtie type thing with what I believe has a Daguerreian brooch in the middle. Her outfit just seems so loud and contradicting to a woman of her age with such a formidable look about her. a lot to take in and explore with this one.
