Work Train 90Q is seen splitting the Whitethorne CPLs on the shove to Norcross after spotting MOW gons in the House Track at Yellow Sulphur, with Conductor Brett Hill giving a wave. Cab No. 555013 further compliments the relics adorned by Whitethorne: N&W Signals on both ends of the siding, the now vacant Virginian Pusher House & Catenary, and old SOU Trailers for MOW.
The morning finds a decently busy Roanoke Terminal for this day and age. NS 4685 and NS 1067, the Reading Heritage Unit, lead intermodal train NS 278 eastbound. As manifest train NS 18W, led by the NS 1069, the Virginian Heritage Unit, awaits its signal to head east. On the left side of the frame is part of the Roanoke dead line of locomotives.
