I made this photo of a box for Louis XIII de Rémy Martin Cognac Grande Champagne during Melody's and my visit to a warehouse store on the San Francisco peninsula in mid January 2025.
Mixed from over 1200 eaux-de-vie originating from the Grande Champagne region, and aged for up to 100 years in century-old tierçon barrels, Louis XIII is the spirit is of the world's rarest beverages. Four generations of cellar masters have managed to complement each other to produce a cognac with incomparable aromatic richness and achieve a palate of the most complex ever achieved. Because they are rare, and because they are aged for a very long time. The Louis XIII de Rémy Martin is so expensive because it is a blend of brandies which are between 40 and 100 years old. The 20000$ bottle is especially rare:
What I found amusing was that this expensive cognac had a 5 cent CRV deposit for the bottle. (CRV stands for Cash Redemption Value). After you empty the bottle of this expensive beverage you can turn the bottle in for a nickle.
