Candace and Dehya

kaiserinasu as Candace and nol.coser as Dehya from Genshin got the best lighting from this shoot. We started at 3PM and planned to grab some golden hour at the end.

Strobist details: A bare Godox TT600 behind the wall with a blue gel. Another bare TT600 to the right front some with an orange gel. And then a bare TT600 to the left in the front as the key light. Triggered via an XProO in the camera hotshoe.

For whatever reason I've been wanting to go back and post a bunch of stuff I'd held back for later posting from a while ago.

Kodak would advertise "Take a picture, make it last longer" which is kinda untrue for your vacation photos because your memory becomes the photo. But here, yeah, every time I pull these up, it's extending the magical moment of creation into an eternity.

Wild hair

One thing to love about pole is how they've worked wild hair into an artform, because it's so much fun to go through the photos and see it magically captured in motion like this.

Lightpainting details: Mylar sheet on the floor. I used my homebrew ESP32 board with #WLED on it to drive a flexible LED strip which I used to make the background lights. And then I filled in some more light with my gen3piano board.

The part you didn't see is the part where, as a fan of Fossee and vaudville and burlesque, I do a bad impromptu Fossee dance with the hat.

Strobist details: Three bare Godox TT600's. One from low right with a blue gel, one to the right with a CTO gel, a bare one to the left, triggered with an XProO in my hotshoe.

Underwater

mylittleecho underwater-but-not-really-underwater. I think craftysorceress would be very mad if we made her living room knee-deep in water.

Strobist details: No AI, minimal editing, basically just removed the transition between sheet and backdrop. There's a mylar sheet above to create the water's surface. There's a Godox AD200 with a round head and the AK-R21 projector attachment and a gobo I drew up to the lower left aimed at the sheet. There's a purple gel'd TT600 in a softbox to the right to create accent light, and a white TT600 with an umbrella to the left as the key light. XProO as controller. This one has us set up with a normal orientation, which means I can't show that she's on the floor.

Swan Lake

marloweballerina and nehemiahdance were warming up when I got there, with just normal clothes and the wings and I fell in love with the act instantly yet I knew that the real act with costumes and everything was going to be even neater!

It has *all* the catnips. Ballet. Burlesque. Wings. Sparkles. This was at fluxverticaltheatre for the LA fires benefit in prism-vision.

Yah, the bloody face was part of the show.

Things being the way they are, both my wife and I presumed the story was "dude had it coming" as opposed to "girl can't stop killing people"
