Former GMT/Salford Leyland PD2 3079 is seen outside Chester station on 9 June 1979. There is a picture here on Flickr of this bus at a rally in Chester around this time, so was it preserved here, or with another operator? The DVLA has FRJ233D as untaxed since August 1983.

A better view of the Cumberland MS garage, again from our room in Waverley Hotel in Curzon Street on 15 August 1979. Turning in is 'Baby National' 207, on or off a works journey. Long-demolished, it is now the site of a branch of B&M. The line to Maryport station can be seen in the background, denoted by the two stabled departmental coaches.
