The former St Martins Parish Hall, on Beaumont Fee in Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

It was built in 1923 for Canon Akenhead as a replacement of a Catholic Chapel. It was designed by architects Naylor and Sale. Brick built church hall with the name and date of 1923 in stone.

The corner part adjoining Beaumont Fee was an extension with cellar built in 1927 by again by Naylor Sale and Woore. The first floor was made from fireproof tubular brick blocks manufactured by the Fawcett Construction Co of London. It was used as an educational establishment for further education as the University of Nottingham, Department of Adult Education's Adult Education Centre.

It was vacant between 1999-2003. At this point it was converted to Hub Voluntary Sector Building, with Healthy Hub café and shop. It has now been converted into student accommodation.

1950s extension at the former Chorlton Park Secondary School by pluralzed

1950s extension at the former Chorlton Park Secondary School

Viewed from within Chorlton Park. This building was constructed in 1958/9. Since at least the 1980s this former Secondary Modern school has been used as an adult education centre.

The brick building seen here was, I think, the senior school part of Chorlton Park school. This became Chorlton Park Secondary Modern school after WWII. The building on the right is an extension constructed in 1958/9. The ground floor of the original building became used as part of the adjoining primary school.

Since at least the 1980s the secondary school part has been used as an adult education centre.

Disused bungalow at the former Chorlton Park Secondary School, Mauldeth Road West

This site, abutting Chorlton Park, was originally a primary school and senior elementary school, the senior school becoming a Secondary Modern in the 1940s, or shortly thereafter. The large building seen here is an extension dating from 1958/9. I assume that the now disused caretaker's bungalow is of a similar date.

Since at least the 1980s the secondary school buildings have been used for adult education, previously being part of South Manchester Community College and now styled the Chorlton Park Adult Learning Centre.

This site, abutting Chorlton Park, was originally a primary school and senior elementary school, the senior school becoming a Secondary Modern in the 1940s, or shortly thereafter. The secondary school buildings were substantially extended in 1958/9. I assume that the now disused caretaker's bungalow (just visible here) is of a similar date.

Disused caretaker's bungalow and an abandoned pushchair

The house is within the grounds of the Chorlton Park Adult Learning Centre. This used to be Chorlton Park Secondary (Modern) School, but has been an adult education centre since at least the 1980s. The bungalow is probably contemporary with the large building to the right - a large extension which was constructed in 1958/9.

The faded sign on the railings reads 'SOUTH MANCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE DELIVERY VEHICLES ONLY'. The pushchair is a mystery.

Beneath the tags the sign reads: 'SOUTH MANCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE DELIVERY VEHICLES ONLY'. That was the name under which the adult education centre was formerly operated, alongside several other sites in South Manchester.
