D1933 operating during the Mid Norfolk Railway's 30th. Anniversary event.
D1933, works number 695, was released from the Brush Traction Works at Loughborough on 2nd. March 1966, and allocated to Bristol Bath Road (82A).
On 8th. June 1984, it was named 'Aldeburgh Festival' at Liverpool Street Station by Dr. Elizabeth Legg-Schwarzkopf, President of the Friends of Aldeburgh Festival. The locomotive held this name until September 1993.
Over the course of its working life it was transferred to Bescot, Tinsley, Gateshead, Holbeck, Stratford, York, Thornaby, Old Oak Common & Crewe.
47596 was stored in April 1999 and was then withdrawn from traffic on 18th. October 2002 due to being a surplus to requirements. It was then purchased by the Stratford 47 Group. Over the course of its working life D1933 was renumbered 47255 and 47596.
In 2020, 47596 was placed into the Dereham Traction & Rolling Stock Restoration & Maintenance Shed where she received maintenance work and a repainted back into her original Two-Tone BR Green livery which it would of worn in 1966.
The Mid Norfolk Railway announced in November 2024 that it was purchasing 47596, and her sister 47580, from The Stratford 47 Group.

The Brush Type 4 will now draw forward into Wymondham Abbey station, before departing with the heritage line's 11.40 service to Dereham. @11.36

Once the all-clear is given, the Brush Type 4 will take the stock over the level crossing before using the loop beyond to run around the train prior to regaining the station to await departure with the 11.40 return trip.
