From Praeneste (see on Pleiades), Sanctuary of Fortuna Primigenia (A HREF="https://pleiades.stoa.org/places/7963799">Pleiades), apsidal hall; detached in the early 17th c., by the 18th c. in the collection of W. von Bayreuth; passed by inheritance to Kaiser Friedrich II
The scene, detached from the much larger mosaic still in Palestrina, is interpreted as a ritual banquet in honor of the flooding of the Nile.
