A solitary tree stands watch over the moorland as golden hour light grazes the ancient rocks in the foreground. The texture, warmth, and natural solitude of this scene sum up everything I love about quiet evenings outdoors. Shot during a peaceful walk through the Shropshire Hills, just as the last rays began to slip away.
**Location:**
The Shropshire Hills.
**Camera & Lens:**
This was taken on my Canon EOS 2000D, using my EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III.
**Settings:**
Shutter speed: 1/15
Aperture: f/11
ISO: 100
Focal length: 34mm
**Story Behind the Shot:**
I decided to go for a mini hike in the Shropshire Hills and I found this composition that I rather liked, so I decided to wait around for 2 hours while waiting for the golden hour to get some shots, and this is the results.
**Post-Processing:**
I had to take 3 exposure brackets to get the details, and I merged them using Lightroom. Then I did the usual exposure tweaks along with some colour grading, I feel it turned out very nice.
**Final Thoughts**
The final thoughts are I would of liked a bit of rain just to give me some texture in the skies, so maybe I'll revisit this location again in the future.
