In my younger days my mother would plant Marigolds and Petunias. The thing I remember most about them was the good smell. I was feeling nostalgic and bought some and planted them at my house. They have no odor at all. I feel cheated.....

A small flock of sheep graze the lush grass in the area of ??Fanari, Karditsa. In the background, the small but historic castle of the village is clearly visible. It is a relatively recently carefully restored and illuminated medieval fortress at night.
The village itself is a semi-mountainous settlement with mainly stone houses, both folk and mansions.
The area is of great natural beauty, especially in spring with the wild flowering koutsoupies (Cercis siliquastrum) or Judas tree and, I think, has been rightly described as "the little Tuscany" of Greece.
Happy Easter everyone!

Pallid Sturgeon at the Noesho National Fish Hatchery. They originated approximately 70 million years ago and after all of that, they are now on the critically endangered list. Our local fish hatchery is one of several that are working to restore them into the wild.
Hand held photo in very low light using very high ISO so the editing was challenging.
