Mount Olivet Cemetery, on Mount Olivet Road, between Parchment and Kalamazoo has a feature that is unusual in Kalamazoo cemeteries - a "baby land" - or a region within the cemetery where very young children are buried. Many of the markers have only one date, as the birth and death dates are the same.
On the north side of the cemetery facing west.
There was a British guy - living in Sweden - who took advantage of these small piles of dirt for a new sidewalk. He laid flowers - planted crosses - and lit candles on each. A one night exhibition to spark thoughts in those on their way home. He also sat in his power chair and sang karaoke tom jones and some not so somber songs. The music dragged me across the park.
