We are watching you III

An all-seeing eye under sterile chrome — surveillance camouflaged in elegance. At BMW Welt, function and design merge in silent observation

We are watching you

Precision and repetition — the lens never blinks. A calm, clinical landscape where lines dominate and surveillance becomes part of the aesthetic language.

We are watching you II

Geometry watches you. Angles converge with precision while the chrome sentinel blends into the modernist canvas — quiet but vigilant.

🇬🇧 Modernist House in the Style of Nieuwe Zakelijkheid – Meerman & Van der Pijl (1933)

This 1933 house was designed by Dutch architects Meerman and Van der Pijl, following the principles of Nieuwe Zakelijkheid (New Objectivity). It was built together with the adjacent building of the Nijmegen Radio Centrale. The design reflects the movement’s focus on clean lines, functional form, and restrained color — all hallmarks of early modernist architecture.

Geometric Harmony – The Rhythm of Architecture

A stunning black and white capture of a striking architectural facade, where repeating patterns of windows and geometric brickwork create a mesmerizing visual rhythm. This interplay of symmetry and contrast highlights the elegance of urban design.

This is perhaps unusual ....apparently being made from the local stone rather than poured concrete or concrete blocks....gives it an air of quality. Worth noting that it uses bevelled stone arch technology above the doors and windows making steel lintels unnecessary(view large size).
I think Haile Selassie Emperor of Ethiopia was in exile here around 1936...in the photo of him on flickr the door and shutter look like the one in this photo
