"Villanelle?"

As I said last week, I recently participated in a giant art project dedicated to "Killing Eve" TV series, and it was AWESOME! :D

I made two pictures for the project: frame 12 and frame 15 (this one). Here I built Eve's house, which unfortunately you can see only a little bit, but there's also a second wall with a window on the right and a lightbulb which was the main source of lighting (I had to crop it to align my frame with the source frame for the flipbook, but I have behind-the-scenes picture with the full build, it's here). Also I was asked to make my Eve bigger (closer to the viewer), so actually this is not how the original picture looked like, but nevertheless I am happy with the result! :)

The codename of the project is "Villaneve Flipbook"! 63 artists from all over the world contributed 129 (+12 bonus) illustrations for the YouTube microfilm (2.5 minutes long) and the digital zine (282 pages). The zine is available to buy for $5 until April 10th, all the donations will be sent to the ILGA World. The project fundraised approximately $1500 in the first 24-hours, wow!

I'm very grateful to Sari Katharyn, who made this project possible! It's is such a great experience and such a big honor to be among so many talented and high-skilled artists! And the best part is to read in the comments how happy our project makes people in the fandom!

You can watch the microfilm on YouTube:

You can get the digital zine on Ko-fi:

Also if you're interested in my Killing Eve content, you can check my album on Flickr and my YouTube videos (a tribute to Villanelle, and her and Eve's story with an alternate ending). :)

"Hi, Eve"

You won't believe it! I recently participated in a HUGE art project, and now it's live, yay! :D

Long story short, last year I posted 6 Lego tributes to my second-favorite TV series "Killing Eve" (now you can find it in the special album here on Flickr) and 2 YouTube videos (tribute to Villanelle and her and Eve's story with an alternate ending).

So, as you can guess, such a huge fan like me can't just pass by an announcement like "we're searching for artists to collaborate on Killing Eve project, join us!". xD I asked is it okay to join if I'm a Lego photographer (so not quite an artist, though I perceive and treat my pictures not as usual photos, but as a form of art), and yes, there is a place for everyone, even for tiny Lego minifigures! :D

The codename of the project is "Villaneve Flipbook"! 63 artists from all over the world contributed 129 (+12 bonus) illustrations for the YouTube microfilm (2.5 minutes long) and the digital zine (282 pages). And here's the first of two of my pictures for that art collaboration! This is frame 12. I was given two frames, one with Villanelle, and one with Eve, so I decided to show an alternate ending, where Villanelle survives and comes to Eve's house. Probably I should have try to find another background (this is the snapshot from the season 3 I already used on two of my KE tributes), but I like the lighting it adds to the picture, so here it is, along with a lamppost I had to crop (the original picture was bigger, I resized it to get the right frame position).

"She's not going to do it, is she? Doesn't have it in her." by Darth Electra

"She's not going to do it, is she? Doesn't have it in her."

Yeah, it's them again! :) This is my third tribute to the awesome BBC TV series "Killing Eve", which I'm a big fan! The second tribute is here, the first one is there, and I'm going to post one more before revealing my ALTERNATE ENDING (that's a big deal in the fandom, so I'll write it in all caps), so stay tuned and please follow me! ;)

Well, this is the scene from the season 2, where (SPOILER ALERT) Eve kills a bad guy to save Villanelle. That was one of the best scenes in the series because of the brilliant acting of Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, and very important one, because this is Eve's first kill (and Villanelle looked so proud!), and one of the main themes of the series is that they are not so different. Eve have her inner monster too, as well as Villanelle, and the only difference is that Eve is holding it back, and Villanelle is showing her monster. But both of them are not monsters. I actually disagree with the opinion that Villanelle has no empathy, but I'll write about it next time.

"Imagine he's a log! Quick, do it!"

Actually I built the scene without rewatching, using only my memory and screenshots taken by me as the reference (I even drew the Raymond's blood exactly like it was in the episode). So in fact I messed up the order in which everything happened: I supposed to show the moment before Eve's first attack, but at that time Raymond was choking Villanelle, which I placed exactly where she was after attack, when she was shouting "The shoulder?!" (Eve first attacked the bad guy in the shoulder instead of the head). Well, it was better to just recreate the reference shot, where Raymond was staying just like here, but with an axe at his shoulder. But I thought that from that shot it isn't obvious that he was attacked by Eve, and that she did it to protect Villanelle and herself, so I built the scene the way you see it.

You can watch the actual fight sequence here (too sad it's cut before you can see how Villanelle helped shocked and trembled Eve to go down the stairs, that was a very sweet moment):

"I think we all have monsters inside of us. It's just that most people manage to keep theirs hidden."

"Did I ruin your life? Do you think I'm a monster?"
"You're so many things."
"Doesn't answer my question."
"I think we all have monsters inside of us. It's just that most people manage to keep theirs hidden."
"Well, I haven't."
"No. Neither have I."
"I think my monster encourages your monster. Right?"
"I think I wanted it to."

Yeap, this is a tribute to my new favorite TV series (well, second favorite, because the series finale was awful and I hate that ending, but I'll tell about it next time) - "Killing Eve". I'm a big fan, because obviosly someone who hosted a Mafia game based on "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie will also enjoy a story about one... no, actually, two psychopaths, because in fact they're not so different, despite being a deadly assassin and British intelligence agent send to catch her. Both Jodie Comer (Villanelle) and Sandra Oh (Eve Polastri) were brilliant in their roles, and it's definitely worth watching (except for the last two minutes of the last episode).

Well, obviously Lego will never release any set on this show, for the same reasons there will never be a Game of Thrones set, so I decided to bring my favorite characters to life in Lego form by myself. xD

The bridge scene is my favorite scene from the series, especially this part of the dialogue, so I recreated the shot from Season 3 Episode 8 "Are You Leading or Am I?". I was going to take only one picture, but... I like the show SO MUCH, I couldn't resist to stay up all night to build a few more scenes in a row. xD So if you like my picture please follow me for more "Killing Eve" content, including an ALTERNATE ENDING! ;) Stay tuned!

"Now we walk, and we never look back." by Darth Electra

"Now we walk, and we never look back."

"Stand up straight and look at me. Now turn around and face the other way."
"What?"
"I'll turn this way. Have you turned? Can't see you."
"Now what?"
"Now we walk, and we never look back."
"But I, I..."
"Don't turn. Just walk."

This is my fourth tribute to my new second-favorite TV series "Killing Eve" (the third, the second, the first tributes), and the next one will be the ALTERNATE ENDING. :D Stay tuned!

This is the same scene as the one from my first tribute, which was my favorite part of the dialog. But this particular shot is one of the most iconic and the most recognizable shots from the whole series, so I couldn't resist and decided to build it too. I hope you enjoy it.

As I promised, I'm going to say something about Villanelle's empathy. Various characters throughout the series suggested she has none of it, and yet she definitely has one, it just comes in... uhm... unexpectable forms. There were some episode characters who helped her and talked to her heart to heart, and then they were killed by her. I noticed each one of those characters told her they don't want to live because of whatever reasons, and since she understands things very literally, she certainly thought she did them a favor. From the same logic, when she killed a woman who was Amber's watchdog, she kind of helped Amber, because Amber really deserved more freedom. I'm not saying it was justifiable, but I see it as her (really distorted) way of helping the others. And so on, there are other examples which can be understood the same way.

And that what makes this scene even more important, because we finally see a healthy example of empathy from her side. What a character development, especially considering the ending of the previous season. :)

Yes, you can watch the scene here on official YouTube channel, but here's the important thing: for some reason it's actually cut off BEFORE both of them turned around. Which is literally the point of the scene and it could be a perfect ending for the whole series (it's not, because there is one more season).
Eve and Villanelle Share An Unspoken Understanding (Killing Eve Season 3 Finale)
By the way, the song in that scene is performed by actress Saoirse Ronan, it was from soundtrack of another film.

"It's worse when I push it through slowly. Don't make me."

This is my second tribute to my second-favorite TV series "Killing Eve" (the first tribute was here). This is the most famous shot from the whole series, but it's not exactly what it seems. :) It seems like Villanelle is threatening Eve, which is true, but in fact she did it only after Eve tried to attack her with this knife, and she meant no harm both before and after that attack, she was just scaring Eve. Oh, did I mention I'm a big fan of both of them? :D

"You should never tell a psychopath they are a psychopath. It upsets them."

My ALTERNATE ENDING for the series is on the way, follow me! ;)

You can watch a part of the scene here (too bad it cut out before the funny moment when Villanelle asked Eve for the PIN of her phone, and we learned that MI5 agent has a PIN of 1234):

"Shall we steal their stupid camper van?" by Darth Electra

"Shall we steal their stupid camper van?"

"Yes."

This is my bonus tribute to famous TV series "Killing Eve" (the fourth, the third, the second, the first tributes), and I also have the ALTERNATE ENDING.

Actually this is the scene from the last episode, when Villanelle and Eve stole the camper to go back to London to kill the Twelve, but I decided to change the ending, so let's assume that picture was taken after the revenge was done, and they're heading towards Alaska. :)

I wasn't planning to take that picture initially, but they finally was so happy in the scene, so I couldn't resist and decided to build my then-sealed camper set just for them (so they quite literally stole it from the minifigures family of the set, almost like they stole it in the episode... oops!). Funny enough, I bought that camper initially and specifically to build a longer camper using the parts from earlier camper set, to send another couple of the minifigs on road adventure, but it turned out the set looks exactly like the camper from the film, so it's perfect for Villanelle and Eve. I'm so glad I have this camper, what a great coincidence!

P.S. I just posted a new music video on my YouTube channel, and it's a tribute to Villanelle! I hope you'll enjoy it! :D You can see it here, please watch in HD:

"I've got you." (Killing Eve Season 4 Alternate Ending) by Darth Electra

"I've got you." (Killing Eve Season 4 Alternate Ending)

This is my fifth tribute to famous TV series "Killing Eve" (the fourth, the third, the second, the first tributes), and I also have the bonus one.

SPOILERS ALERT!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

I've got a spoiler before watching the series, so I knew it from the beginning. I didn't knew what exactly will happen, but I knew what won't - I knew the scenarist of the final season didn't let them live happily ever after or die together. I watched the series knowing it, and I'm still glad I watched it, the series is so great! But the ending is just horrible and doesn't make any sense (ask any person who know the laws of physics and ballistics, they'll tell you it's IMPOSSIBLE). By the way, in the original books on which the series is based there IS a happy ending, but not in the film! I'm so freaking mad at the scenarist Laura Neal for managing to ruin literally everything the previous scenarists have built in 3 seasons (or 4, if you count her own season) in just a 3 last minutes of the final episode. And for what? For showing us like two symbolical shots which was clearly the intention of filming the whole underwater scene?! Are you killed one character and doomed another to be haunted forever by the memories just because you, Ms. Laura, wanted a beautiful picture??? I HATE THAT ENDING.

So I said - NOT ON MY WATCH! ;) I'm gonna bring the justice back into that universe, even if it's fictional!

"Everybody knows that everybody dies. But not every day. Not... today."
(this is the quote from Doctor Who, but I think it fits perfectly)

In my little LEGO universe Villanelle is saved from the water by Eve, the whole attack on her was staged by C. and K. (he asked for it in that mystery letter the contents of which we never found out) to let them both disappear and start a new life in Alaska, like they wanted.

They already stole a camper, so... :) I know they can't cross an ocean on it, but I'm sure they'll find another way! ;)

By the way, the water in the bottom of the picture is real (at the top there is a real shot from the episode as well)! I even had to make some waves to imitate the reflection of the light...

P.S. I just posted a new music video on my YouTube channel, and it's a tribute to Villanelle! I hope you'll enjoy it! :D You can see it here, please watch in HD:

Do you see the single Vashta Nerada in this photo? It's kind of close to the camera. Vashta Nerada have sometimes been described as "the dust in sunbeams". Individually they're harmless, they're only dangerous when they swarm. Follow my eyeline to the right just to where the recessed part of that side meets the edge contour, go up about six or seven bricks, do you see it there, that small out of focus circle? That's it.
