Girl hugs one of the Famine statues in Dublin City Centre.
This collection of statues commemorate the famine years in Ireland in the 1840s which led to the population halving through death and emigration.
Note: For earlier viewers of this shot...I've replaced the distracting city traffic background with a bit of photoshop work...hopefully to better effect.
Early morning in Valley Forge. About 6:00 AM. After my run I was on my way home. I saw a family of deer cross the road and stop on the other side to have a little breakfast. I sat for a bit and watched as Momma, a little white spotted fawn, and a young buck grazed oblivious to my presence. I shot many frames but no one was looking up. Finally Momma stopped eating long enough and look directly at me as if to say, "There, are you happy now? Please leave while we finish our breakfast." So I did.
