4 Principles on How to Get Closer to God (part 2)
2. When Reading Godās Words, Contemplate Them With Your Heart and You Will Understand Their True Meaning
Christians practice spiritual devotions and read Godās words every day. How can we read Godās words in a way that both achieves good results and that can enable our relationship with God to become closer? Godās word says: āPeople believe in God, love God, and satisfy God by touching the Spirit of God with their heart, thereby obtaining His satisfaction; when engaging with Godās words with their heart, they are therefore moved by the Spirit of Godā (āIt Is Very Important to Establish a Proper Relationship With Godā). Godās words tell us that, when we read His words, we must contemplate them and go seeking with our hearts, we must obtain the enlightenment and illumination of the Holy Spirit, and we must understand Godās will and what He requires of us. Only by reading Godās words in this way will our efforts bear fruit and we will draw closer to God. When we read Godās words, if we just give them a passing glance without really paying attention, if we only focus on understanding some letters and doctrines in order to show ourselves off and we pay no attention to understanding the true meaning of Godās words, then no matter how much we read His words, we will not conform to His will, much less will we be capable of establishing a normal relationship with God.

Gospel Music Video "Following Close By" | Story of Christians Standing Witness Through Persecution
Today I watched a musical that narrates a story of Chinese Christians. Due to the CCPās arrest and its persecution, their gathering places are not stable, and they have to flee from one place to another. On the stage, they truly depict Chinese Christiansā state with their lively actions and expressing. This reminds me of the previous time, at that time, I had my heart in my mouth every day for fear of being arrested by the CCP due to believing in God. Thank God for His protection, I have already left China for some time, but I still worry about those Christians in China and often pray for them, hoping that they donāt lose their faith under the severe circumstance, often pray to God and rely on Him, and keep up with God closely.
The Lyrics of Christian Musical Drama "Following Close By"
Overcomers are those who stand witness,
keeping confidence and full devotion to God,
even when under Satanās influence,
even though Satan holds them in siege by dark forces.
If you still maintain a heart of purity
and true love for God no matter what may be,
you are then standing witness in front of God,
you are what God Himself calls an overcomer.
Godās words free us from Satanās chains.
Weāve truly felt their authority and their power beyond compare.
Seeing Godās great loveliness, we all love Him and bear witness.
Free from any fear of danger, we spread the kingdom gospel.
Beloved One.
Almighty God, beloved One,
Your people sing love songs, praise You.
Almighty God, beloved One,
weāll always witness, obey, love You.
Almighty God, beloved One,
Your people sing love songs, praise You.
Almighty God, beloved One,
weāll always witness, obey, love You.

Christian Testimony Videol "The People of the Heavenly Kingdom" | An Inspirational True Story
The Lord Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 18:3). The Lord Jesus told us that only honest people can enter the kingdom of heaven; only honest people can be people of the kingdom. This movie tells the story of the Christian Cheng Nuo's experience of God's work and the course of her pursuit to become an honest person in life.
Cheng Nuo used to be a doctor. Even after believing in God, when she encounters things that impinge on her own interest and face in her day-to-day life, she still can't help but lie and deceive. In the face of trials and tribulations she even develops misunderstandings and gripes about God, but through seeking the truth time after time and undergoing the judgment and chastisement of God's words, she gains an understanding of the root of her dishonesty and her selfish, slippery satanic nature. She begins to focus on pursuing the truth to resolve her tendency to lie and the dishonesty in her heart. Later when she is arrested by the Chinese Communist Party government while performing her duty and suffers devastating torture, she is ready to die before telling a lie and refuses to deny God. She bears a beautiful, resounding witness for God. Cheng Nuo is able to gradually become an honest person, and truly love and obey God. So what really is her story?

Godās Words Led Me to Bear Witness
By Xiao Min, Shandong Province
I was born in a poor, backward part of the countryside and lived a hard, impoverished life as a child. In order to achieve a better life as soon as possible, after I got married, I began to work like crazy. I ended up, however, getting sick from overwork, and I went from being fit and healthy to being wracked with illnesses. I lived in a state of pain caused by my illnesses and I sought medical advice and treatment wherever I could. I ended up spending a lot of money, but my illnesses never got any better. In the spring of 1999, two sisters preached the gospel of Almighty Godās work of the last days to me. By reading Almighty Godās words, I perceived the authority and power of Godās words, I knew that no human being could possibly have spoken them, and that the words of Almighty God are indeed the voice of God. I became absolutely certain that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned, and that He can save us from all our pain. As I read Godās words more and more, I came to understand some truths and I came to a thorough understanding of many things in the world. My pained, stifled spirit felt liberated, and I gradually recovered from my illnesses. My gratitude to God knew no bounds, and I began to actively preach the gospel and bear witness to Godās work of the last days.
On the morning of the fourth day, the wicked policemen took my photo and hung a big square sign around my neck with my name written on it with a brush. I was like a denounced criminal, being mocked and ridiculed by the wicked police. I felt like I was being subjected to the greatest humiliation, and I felt very weak inside. I realized that my state of mind was not right, however, and so I hurriedly called on God silently in my heart: āO God! Please protect my heart and enable me to understand Your will and not fall prey to Satanās cunning schemes.ā After praying, a passage of Godās words appeared clearly in my mind: āYou are a created beingāyou should of course worship God and pursue a life of meaning. ⦠Since you are a human being, you should expend yourself for God and endure all suffering! You should gladly and assuredly accept the little suffering you are subjected to today and live a meaningful life, like Job, like Peter. ⦠You are people who pursue the right path, those who seek improvement. You are people who rise up in the nation of the great red dragon, those whom God calls righteous. Is that not the most meaningful life?ā (āPractice (2)ā in The Word Appears in the Flesh). Godās words carried authority and might, they filled my heart with light and dispelled all darkness, and they enabled me to understand the meaning and value of life. They allowed me to understand that, to be able to pursue the truth as a created being, and to live to worship God and satisfy God, was the most meaningful and worthwhile life. To be able today to be captured and detained for my belief in God, to suffer all this humiliation and pain, and to be able to share in the tribulations and in the kingdom of Christ, was not a shameful thing, but a glorious one. Satan does not worship God; on the contrary, it does all it can to interrupt and obstruct Godās work, and this is what is most shameful and despicable. Thinking these thoughts, I became filled with strength and joy. The wicked policemen saw the smile on my face and gazed at me in amazement, and said, āWhat do you have to be happy about?ā I replied justly and forcefully, āIt is perfectly justified to believe in God and worship God. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing so. Why shouldnāt I be happy?ā Under the guidance of God, I was once again able to rely on God to overcome Satan.

Closer to God : It is Possible to Get a Good Job Without Flattering People
By Fang xiang
In summer this year, the Christian Zhang Li began work at a large childrenās amusement park. There were many job posts and different personnel were responsible for each post. Confronted with this kind of working environment, Zhang Li thought to herself: āNo matter where I work, interpersonal relationships are the hardest to handle. For the sake of their own interests, people either engage in jealous disputes and scheme against each other, or they flatter each other and try to curry favor with each otherāthey live by satanic life philosophies in everything they do. I am a believer in God and everything I do and say must accord with Godās words. I must fear God and shun evil, not engage in any satanic life philosophy and not do anything that would bring shame on Godās name.ā

The Church of Almighty God | A Hymn of God's Words | Trials Call for Faith
I
When trials come people can be weak, negative feelings can rise within. They may lack clarity on the will of God or the path that's best for them to practice. But you must have faith in God's work, just like Job, who was weak and cursed his day of birth, yet didn't deny that God gives all things and that He also takes them away. Whatever refinement you suffer from God's words, what God perfects is your faith. When you can't touch it, and when you can't see it, it's then that your faith is required.
II
Faith is called for when something can't be seen. When it's hidden from the naked eye, when you can't let go of your own ideas, when you don't know God's work, have faith! In the times of hardship, man's faith must rise. When refined, his faith must come through. Only faith makes you see God and allows God to perfect you. Whatever refinement you suffer from God's words, what God perfects is your faith. When you can't touch it, and when you can't see it, it's then that your faith is required. Whatever refinement you suffer from God's words, what God perfects is your faith. When you can't touch it, and when you can't see it, it's then that your faith is required. Oh, it's then that your faith is required. Yes, it's then that your faith is required.

Do You Know the Mystery of āthe Dead in Christ Shall Riseā?
By Xiangwang
During their conversation, Jiang Xun discovered that his aunt now saw more clearly the things regarding faith and had very unique insight into them. So, Jiang Xun said enviously, āAuntie, after you came back from America this time, much of what you have talked about is what Iāve never heard. You must have gained a lot in America. Iād like to ask you a question. The Bible says, āThus said the Lord Jehovah to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live: And I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am Jehovahā (Ezekiel 37:5ā6). āIn a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raisedā (1 Corinthians 15:52). āFor the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise firstā (1 Thessalonians 4:16). These verses say clearly that when the Lord comes back, He will show great miracles so that the dead will be resurrected instantly, emerging from their tombs like Lazarus did. At that time, weāll see the martyrs to the Lord. However, not long ago, my old classmate told me that the resurrection of the dead is not, as I imagine, the dead being brought back to life and coming out from their tombs. Instead, it refers to those whose spirits are dead after Satanās corruption coming alive. I donāt quite understand what he told me. Could it be that my view is wrong? Auntie, can you discuss your opinion?ā
His aunt replied with a smile, āMy understanding used to be the same as yours. I thought that the resurrection of the dead referred to the dead coming back to life. Until one day, a sisterās fellowship made me realize that what I had understood was the literal meaning of the verses, not their true meaning. As is known to all, Godās wisdom is higher than the heavens and what God does exceeds our thoughts and imaginations. Furthermore, prophecies refer to something that will happen in the future, and before they are fulfilled, none of us knows their true meaning. Besides, it says in the Bible, āFor the letter kills, but the spirit gives lifeā (2 Corinthians 3:6). These words admonish us that we shouldnāt understand the verses according to their literal meaning but instead we should seek their true meaning. If we just interpret the text literally, we are very liable to misinterpret the prophecies. For example, the Book of Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would come to power and manage Godās kingdom. At that time, people interpreted the prophecies from a literal perspective and believed that since the Messiah would come to power, He would certainly be born in a palace and lead them to overturn the Roman regime. In fact, however, the Lord Jesus wasnāt born in a palace nor did He lead them in the overthrow of Roman regime. We can see from this that, there are mysteries hidden within the prophecies and their fulfillment is very different from their literal meaning. So, we should draw a lesson from those peopleās failureāwe canāt interpret the prophecies literally and we must leave our own notions and imaginings behind.ā

True Story Christian Movie Trailer | Keep the Faith in the CCP's Persecution | "Seventeen? The Hell You Are!" |
"Kid! Do you know that the Communist Party is atheist and against belief in God? In China, what God is there for you to believe in? Where is this God of yours?" "Do not assume that because you are young, we will be lenient with you! If you keep believing in God, you will end up dead!" With electric rods in hands, the Chinese Communist police rush this youngster who is covered with bruises.
This youngster's name is Gao Liang and he was 17 years old that year. He was on his way home from spreading the gospel with an older brother when he was arrested by the Chinese Communist police. The police did not give him anything to eat nor allowed him to sleep for three days and three nights. They interrogated him, tried to extort a confession from him and subjected him to cruel torture. They even used electric rods to shock him on his chin, both his hands and his lower area. They tried to force him to betray God and give them information regarding the church leaders and the financial resources of the church through blackmailing him. This involved threatening to arrest his parents and to get his school to expel him. Unable to achieve its objectives, the Chinese Communist government sentenced him to one year of reeducation through labor. While in prison, not only did Gao Liang endure excessive labor requirements, he was also humiliated and tormented. In the prison, Gao Liang experienced what can only be called hell on earth. During this painful refinement, Gao Liang prayed to God and relied on God. Almighty God's words enlightened him to understand God's intentions. It gave him faith and strength and it guided him so that he could get through the one year he was in prison. The Chinese Communist government's persecution and arrest are engraved in Gao Liang's heart. He sees clearly and deeply experienced the evil essence of the Chinese Communist government and its antagonism toward God. In this world where Satan's powers hold sway, only God loves man the most. Only God can save man. His faith and will to follow God became even more resolute. Gao Liang says that these trials and tribulations are valuable treasures for his life growth and development. It was a special present that God gave him for his 17th year ā¦

testimonies of passing exams - In Praying for a Job, I Witness Godās Deeds
By Jiejing, Japan
Jul 23, 2019
The sister then gave fellowship, and said, āAs human beings, our fates and futures are governed and arranged by God, and what kind of jobs we have and when we are able to find a job in life was all predestined long ago by God; it is simply not determined by how hard we work or by any other factor that exists in the outside world. Take a look at the people around us, for example. Some study hard and obtain all manner of graduation certificates, and they even go study abroad, and yet after graduation they remain unemployed living at home, and they donāt find a suitable job. Some people, on the other hand, achieve pretty average grades in their studies and are not highly educated, but because they possess some special skill they go on to find a good job, and some even start their own businesses and become their own bosses. We can therefore see that God rules over and arranges our fates and futures, and they are not up to us at all. We donāt recognize Godās sovereignty, however, and so even though we may believe in God, we still donāt pray or rely on God sincerely, and we donāt entrust God with the matter of finding a job nor do we submit to His sovereignty and arrangements. Instead, we believe that we have many qualifications and certificates, and that we can speak Chinese and translate foreign languages, and so we think that our own minds and calibers will be enough for us to find a good jobāare we not rebelling against God by doing this? When, in our search for a job, we hit a brick wall or encounter a setback, we donāt seek Godās will, but instead we become negative and disappointed, we live in a state of distress, and the longer we follow this path, the more lost we become. Actually, it is also God who permits this kind of situation to befall us, and His good intentions are even more present therein. God uses these setbacks and failures to urge us to reflect on and know ourselves, to experience and recognize Godās sovereignty in such situations, to learn to rely on God in all things, and to submit to Godās orchestrations and arrangements. Therefore, as we search for a job, we have to pray and rely on God more often, seek Godās guidance, and trust that everything God arranges for us is always what is most right for us, and that all we have to do is undergo it calmly.ā

The Amazing Power of God | Christian Short Film "Rise Up in the Dark Oppression" | Eastern Lightning
He is an ordinary Christian. During the years of his following Jesus Christ, he was persecuted and restricted by the CCP government. Later, he fortunately accepted the end-time salvation of the returned Lord JesusāAlmighty God, but was persecuted more cruelly by the Chinese government. In order to force him to betray God and sell out the brothers and sisters, the lackeys of the CCP hung him to a tree for three days and nights, and put many ants on his body. Being gnawed by the ants, he felt worse than death. Just when he was dying and couldnāt bear any more, he prayed to God to take his soul, and made a resolution that he would rather die than betray God. ⦠An unexpected miracle happened. His soul went out of his body. He was taken to travel in a most beautiful world. Seeing that the heavens and the earth and all things were praising Almighty God, his heart was incomparably joyful, and the pain in his flesh disappeared. Under the cruel tortures of satan, it was Godās word that gave him strength, strengthened his faith, and made him rise from the dead, and stand a strong and resounding testimony under the oppression of the power of darkness!

Devotion for Today - February 26, 2018 ā Matthew 12:33
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
- Matthew 12:33
A good tree bears good fruits, and a bad tree bears bad fruits, so we can know the tree by its fruits. Similarly, we can also know a person by his words, behaviors and outward deeds. Some people believe in God and believe in His word. They revere God in their hearts. When they encounter something, they are able to seek Godās will and practice according to His word. They donāt speak or do anything carelessly. Some people believe in God but pursue Satanās philosophy and rules. They speak and do things completely according to their natural personality. For example, some people are arrogant, and always look down upon others. They are unable to treat others with patience or forbearance, but hurt others. So we Christians should accept Godās observation, and follow Godās words and requirements in all things to live out the likeness of a true person, so that we can use our practical actions to manifest and glorify God. Amen!
