The moment of elevation - a ritual raising of the consecrated Sacred Body of Christ during the celebration of the Eucharist.

My first Rorate Mass - an old traditional Advent Mass in the Blessed Mother's honor, celebrated in only candlelight before sunrise. Celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Celebrant was Father Daniel Koehl, Parochial Vicar.

Thanks to Topaz Labs DeNoise and Sharpen these very dim pixels were improved to make them look presentable.

In fall 2022 this large-scale installation went up in the main hall at Calvin University's Center Art Gallery, inside of Covenant Fine Arts Center, a few miles south and east of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Viewed from one or two feet away, the experience is something like flying over mountain ranges frosted with fresh snow. The title is The Body of Christ, so that challenges visitors to figure out the connection in the shiny, everyday-familiar and useful article shaped here: aluminum foil.
