In Nailsworth, not far from Stroud in the Cotswolds, we made a walk up Butcher Hills Lane, where there is a bright postbox at the junction with Brewery Lane. Under a crown, the postbox bears the initials GR and the Roman figure V between these initials. This means the postbox was erected during the reign of King George the Fifth, between 1910 and 1936. A postbox with a respectable age!
