The Ferrari California T (Type 149M) is an updated design of the 2009-14 model California. Featuring new sheet metal and revised body features, designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre in collaboration with Pininfarina, a new interior, a revised chassis and a new turbocharged powertrain. It was first unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motorshow The T in the moniker stands for Turbo, a technology Ferrari last used on the F40 road car. The car utilizes a new 3,855 cc twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 560PS (553 bhp) as well as a 7-speed dual clutch transmission with different gear ratios, a revised Magne Ride adaptive suspension, as well as a new F1 Trac system. The car also features a new front fascia that was influenced by the F12, a revised rear section and a revised interior. The revised rear end replaced the two sets of two vertically stacked exhaust pipes with four horizontally aligned pipes.

Unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motorshow, the 458 was designed as a mid engined sportscar by Pininfarina under the leadership of Donato Coco the Ferrari design director as a replacement for the F430. The car's exterior styling and features were designed for aerodynamic efficiency, producing a downforce of 140 kg (309 lb) at 200 km/h (120 mph) the front grille features deformable winglets that lower at high speeds, in order to offer reduced drag. The interior design of the Ferrari 458 Italia was done by Bertrand Rapatel (Director of Ferrari Interior Design), a French automobile designer
Powered by a 4500cc direct fuel injection V8 engine derived from a shared Ferrari/Maserati design, producing 562bhp mated to a dual clutch seven speed GETRAG gearbox, also used in the Mercedes SLS AMG in a different state of tune
Performance is quoted as a 0-62mph (0-100kmph) time of 3.4seconds and a top speed of 202mph
