Over the years I've seen this car multiple times, but never got a decent shot of it. I like this shot, but would have asked the owner to remove the signs in the windshield if I could have found him. As you can see, it is in mint condition with a very nice white interior.

I don't know what was going on at this particular show, but there were a lot of Mustangs there for such a relatively small show. Perhaps a Mustang club of some sort was making an outing of the show.

It was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation which later became British Leyland.

I've seen '39 coupes many times, but this is the first 2 door sedan I remember seeing. Really cool wheels which are the main giveaway that this car isn't stock and may well be a sleeper. The headlights have been modified and I think I prefer the stock ones. Still, all in all I really love it.

Look closely and you'll see what is unique about this - the 327 emblem. My educated guess is that this 1939 Ford is sporting a 327 Chevrolet engine. Mix and Match.

This beauty had to be in the running for "best in show". The chop wasn't radical and everything was extremely well done in a fairly conservative way. When I first saw it, I tole the owner it was best, but there was another that was a late arrival that could have given it some serious competition. Both were yellow which made it difficult for me to chose.

US Army Korean War Veteran, Chuck

Taken during a car show held at the Chesterwood Village Retierment Community in the West Chester suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Chuck served with the 8th Field Hospital unit during the Korean War. We had a great chat where I learned that he is from Columbus, Ohio and coached HS football in the Cincinnati area as well as sold insurance. It was a fun conversation because we had common knowledge of local people and events if only peripherally.

They were honoring Veterans during the car show which is why he was wearing his uniform from the war. He also had a picture showing him in uniform taken around 1954 and some papers related to his service.

Thanks for your service, Chuck. It was an honor and pleasure to have met you.
