A midyear (February 1965) SS 396 package (Z16) included the high performance 396 V8 at 375 HP, dual exhausts, 4-speed, special shocks and 160 mph speedometer.

Apache County Sheriff's Office Deputy Sid Eltaca assisted Boom Police Dept Sergeant Ron Brook with serving an arrest warrant on Airfield Drive. Taken into custody, transported/booked to the county detention center

Boom is in the Western Part of Apache County, NM, in the Terreno llano Seco basin ( TLS basin ), and Terreno llano Seco means dry flat land in Spanish. Boom has a population of about 1,798.
It is named for the oil boom that started in the area back in the 1950s
