Out catalogue title is as follows “Maghera Embroidery School, Belfast. Child at pump. Hogg 9” which gives us a few avenues to investigate. I think the name Glendinning is on the plaque above the door? The “Hogg 9” intrigues me I wonder where it came from and what it means? I love the stance of the young girl at the pump she is “rolling up the sleeves” and ready to pump, I think she is being directed?
