Little Miami River at Clifton Gorge

A great area set aside for hikers and nature lovers. Never a bad time to visit this area in southwestern Ohio.

Clifton Gorge

The Little Miami River cut through 40' of limestone to create the Clifton Gorge. Running between Clifton to an area below Yellow Springs, Ohio. A series of hiking trails connect the gorge with John Bryan State Park. The gorge once had a number of mills that harnessed the water power. One of the largest water powered mills is still in existence in tiny Clifton with it's population of 152.

2015 demolition of 1924 printing plant.

Here at the Crowell-Collier building were manufactured Woman’s Home Companion and Collier's magazines from 1924 until 1956. The building was vacant from 1956 to 1972, then contained the wholesale motorcycle parts company "Dixie Distributing Co." from 1972 to 2011.

Was it worth it!

A good tree-fence interaction.

These good occurrences are usually left to chance.

Who are the landscape architects who are intentionally cultivating tree-fence interactions such as these, in their landscape designs? There aren't any are there! They're all to [sic] lazy aren't they.

Fabulous 1922.

The long-vacant Tecumseh Building in downtown Springfield, Ohio, has been the pride of Springfield, Ohio, since 1922.

I dislike Warren Harding but the buildings that date from the time of his awful presidency are good.

I think the flowers should be better protected from cars running them over. The architecture of the red building is Russia-inspired.
