In the early 80's some airlines would let you ride in the cockpit if there was available seating in the jumpseat. Obviously 9/11 changed all that. I have tons of photos that show how times have changed.

My first visit to Duxford in many years, and this ended up being my favourite shot of the day — taken through a fence.
It looks like little remains of the controls and dials, but the tangle that's left behind gives us an inkling of the complexity.
