One of the oldest methods of food preservation is drying food. Drying or preserving dried fish in the sun is a method of keeping fish in the sun to remove water. Because of the water, various micro-organisms survive and help the fish to rot. At present the daughters of many fisher families of Bangladesh have taken this job as their profession.

Gumaibeel of Rangunia, a well-known Chittagong granary, is Bangladesh's second largest beel after the Chalan Beel. It has now been buzzing with the arrival of flocks of red-green parakeets.
During the season of ripe rice, everyday thousands of red-green parakeets gather here mostly in search of ripe rice and food.
Farmers estimate that 15,000-20,000 parakeets' dwell in one flock. They consume all of the rice on the land where they sit.
Farmers say that the parakeets eat the paddy in flocks most of the time beginning in the afternoon.

Every minute on earth, a million plastic bottles are sold. And every year, 5,000 billion plastic bags are used on the planet.
Since the 1950s, the linear economy of “take-make-waste” has become commonplace. As a direct consequence of this new paradigm of production and consumption, the amount of non-recyclable plastic waste has become enormous.
Only 9% of plastic is recycled today. The rest is incinerated or buried, or finishes on the seventh continent, the one floating in the Pacific Ocean, or is ingested by fish and other marine animals.
On beaches, in birds and even down to the air we breathe, the pollution of ecosystems and the environment by plastic waste is massive.
Accelerated by the world’s growing population, the economic growth of emerging and developing countries is having the same effect. As their standards of living and levels of consumption increase, these countries are adopting the behavior of developed countries and consuming more and more plastic bottles and packaging.
