This video clip is a reminder of the narrow (paved) lanes that connect hamlets to towns and cities. When there is an oncoming vehicle one of them spontaneously slips into a wider section of shoulder or handy driveway; sometimes that could involve reversing, too. So it is usually a bad idea to race along fully occupying the road and unable to see over the next rise or curve.

Out and about through the lanes and across the fields of the Yorkshire Dales today on a splendid Spring morning. The first bluebells out and about in the hedgerows.
With a view to the Pennines. "Roads etc" theme.
ok, so I come and photograph this tree and scene fairly regularly.... but it's a great scene. It has been in Explore 3 times now!
