This was one of the boringest datestones I had ever seen!

It is so boring that I am helpless to stop my brain from IMMEDIATELY AND ACTIVELY DISCARDING ALL MY MEMORIES of this picture, even as I look directly at it!

See these nice senior apartments, built in the year 2010. That retaining wall is amazing.

My favorite thing about plazas is their openness. I especially like vast ones. This one is from 1981. The CP "merged letters" logo is good.

Downtown storefronts in pale blue metal siding. by Tim Kiser

Downtown storefronts in pale blue metal siding.

This is in Wisconsin but it reminds me of South Dakota or someplace like that, except for the cone-shaped streetlight fixture, which doesn't remind me of anyplace but here.

Is this one building, or are these two or three buildings united in siding.

Me, I'd've centered the sign in relation to the full length of the building, not in relation to the off-center parapet.

Have the letters always been dark pink, or are they faded red.

Is that your Chevy TrailBlazer from model years 2002-2009, parked there in front of Ming's. Were you in there eating lunch.

The staircase's luxurious fanciness has been wasted at this site!

I feel ridiculous every time I come and go.

Also, usually my approach to this door is from the right, and the orientation of the staircase makes me feel like I am doing something wrong somehow, that this door is not intended for dirty people like me.

Chittamo No Mo

I've had the itch to scan some slides lately but a shortage of time to make it happen. Instead I went back to the last batch to see if I missed posting any. There were a few I missed, including this one. I thought I had it up before but the searching turned up nothing. Probably had an old scan on Trainorders or something shortly after I got the slides back.

Anyways, the WC had been a CN property for over a year by this point and like the lettering on the 7509 was slowly fading into history. Despite the ownership change you could still find a trio of SD45s on a Minorca all-rail to Escanaba. The scene here at Chittamo, WI has changed a lot since 2003, no more SD45s, no more Minorca-Escanaba all-rails, and even the Soo Line overpass has been replaced. February 16, 2003.
