On our way to the Tetons this particular day, and initially everything just south of Gardiner and Mammoth was nothing but fog. We came upon the Swan Lakes Flat area, and there were spots where the fog had already dissipated. Hints of blue skies were trying to break through all the cloud cover and some light was just barely reaching the tops of the peaks in the distance....all in all, a beautiful morning for a drive :-)
Have a great week....as always, I appreciate all your visits and comments!!!!!

“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.” ~ Andrew Wyeth

Captured this image through my window on our beautiful flight back to Quesnel after a short business trip to Vancouver. It was amazing to see these jagged, snow-capped peaks sticking out of the cloud layer.
See more views below with the recurring theme of the image of the aircraft I'm sitting in reflected in the stainless steel propeller hub.

Nandina domestica
Also known as heavenly bamboo, nandina is an evergreen or semi-evergreen woody shrub often used in landscaping. Its distinctive compound leaves which have lance shaped leaflets are held on multiple non-branching stems. The whole plant has a very lacy appearance and upright form, growing 6-8 ft (1.8-2.4 m) The species tends to sucker outward, forming ever larger clumps. In spring, there are large panicles of small white flowers at the end of stems followed by green berries which ripen to bright red that are held for many months (unless devoured by birds).
