A tiny black bee, I think Perdita halictoides, just hanging around inside this bright orange Paper Poppy (Meconopsis cambrica var. aurantiaca "Leeds Flore-Pleno") - hand held on a breezy day.

As the farmer cuts the grass for hay, the wild life runs to find new cover. Turkey Vultures flying high above the field scoping, alert for scurrying critters. Occasionally a swoop will bring success.
