Has the Auglaize River in northwestern Ohio won you over with its prettiness yet. by Tim Kiser

Has the Auglaize River in northwestern Ohio won you over with its prettiness yet.

I am not yet convinced it is pretty. Also I think "Auglaize" should be pronounced "oh-GLAY-zee" instead of "AW-glaze," which sounds awful to my ears, and which clumsily interrupts the rhythm and flow of any phrase or sentence in which it occurs.

See a white wall of 10 star-shaped anchor plates. by Tim Kiser

See a white wall of 10 star-shaped anchor plates.

Well, according to Sanborn fire insurance maps, it looks like the building was here by 1884 and was later occupied by a carriage factory, and later the Defiance Glove & Mitten Works. Google Maps and the Defiance County Auditor's property search website identify the building as Gary's Auto Repair. I nearly fell asleep researching this.

Look at the long shadow of that light fixture.

Northtowne no list of movies!

Online I have been reading that the cinema nine-plex closed in June 2022, and that it supposedly will reopen in 2023. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens huh.

The Northtowne Mall opened in 1986, and the "n" logotype is also from 1986 apparently.

It is nice to finally be able to put a "face" (the McDonald Professional Center in Defiance, Ohio) to the "name" (the year 1991). ISN'T IT!!

Ordinarily I like color schemes of brown, light brown, gray, and white.
