Distant high skyway w/peoplemover.

Join the people of Detroit and me in looking admiringly at the 15th-16th floor skytunnel connecting the 1960s to the 1920s.

It is said that the skyway was designed by Rossetti Associates and is from the 1970s.

Supposedly it was gonna be converted into a bar.

In downtown Detroit on December 3rd, 2017, a skyway connecting One Woodward Avenue (formerly the Michigan Consolidated Gas Company Building, completed 1962) and the Guardian Building (formerly the Union Trust Building, completed 1929), above Larned Street west of Woodward Avenue. Both buildings are part of the Detroit Financial District historic district, 09001067 on the National Register of Historic Places. The Detroit People Mover was completed in 1987.

Reminds me of New York City or someplace like that. Lights flash in time to music during a TV show about New York City.

Clifford Street in downtown Detroit; views of collections of buildings and construction barrels, respectively.

Evening vision of landscape-streetscape of distantly flooded street w/ crumbling sidewalk; flapping seagull; and turrets or minarets of substation.

"Probably I'm not gonna be able to talk myself into believing that I've got any good reasons for thinking that I've got any business being out hanging around down in here," I decided, and I turned and walked back the way I had come.

That's not a dead animal down there at the very bottom of the picture; I think it's a sack of potatoes.
