In downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, on April 4th, 2023, the Waverly F. Akins Wake County Office Building at 336 Fayetteville St, built 1941-1942 as the Durham Life Insurance Company Building, with the top four floors added in 1947, a "contributing property" in the Fayetteville Street Historic Street, 07001412 on the National Register of Historic Places, at the northwest corner of Fayetteville Street and West Davie Street.
