Der Mauerweg trägt an der Stelle den Namen TV-Asahi-Kirschblütenallee, weil dieser japanische TV-Sender nach dem Fall der Mauer viele Zuschauer dazu bewegen konnte, aus diesem Anlass Geld für Kirschbäume auf dem ehemaligen Grenzstreifen zu spenden. Auf dem ehemaligen Grenzstreifen zwischen Berlin-Lichterfelde und der Stadt Teltow stehen 1.000 Bäume. Teltow/Berlin 2021.
