Another cooler but sunny day here in Sydney today, so I wandered around to my neighbour's garden to see if there was any action. There were so many bees (and even a Skipper butterfly) hanging around the Bird of Paradise bush.

This is a ground cover that grows wild in my garden. I love it but I do agree with Peter that it gets out of hand. He wants to pull it all out, but I won't let him LOL. We just try to keep it under control.

This is such an unusual colour tulip. Green flowers aren't usually common.

Wonderful to watch my tulips blooming on my balcony. Not sure of the name (please correct me if I am wrong) but I think this is a Tulip Peony Double Early 'Cilesta'.

These little native bees are so tiny - around the size of a small house fly. When I first saw them a while back I did think that they were flies, but on uploading the photo saw that they were indeed little bees.

We are back home again from Gosford. We have the house and garden all shipshape ready for the open house on Saturday and it is looking wonderful. Peter's Dad seems a bit happier in the nursing home which is good.
I had the stitches taken out of my wrist today and after worrying all weekend that a couple of them were stuck, they came out without any trouble - what a relief.
