Honfleur est une commune française située dans le département du Calvados, en région Normandie. Ville portuaire, elle est située sur la rive sud de l'estuaire de la Seine, en face du Havre, tout près du débouché du pont de Normandie.
Elle est surtout connue pour son Vieux Bassin, caractérisé par ses maisons aux façades recouvertes d'ardoises, et pour avoir été maintes fois représentée par des artistes, dont Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet et Johan Barthold Jongkind, formant l'École de Honfleur.

Honfleur is a commune in the Calvados department in northwestern France. It is located on the southern bank of the estuary of the Seine across from Le Havre and very close to the exit of the Pont de Normandie.
It is especially known for its old port, characterized by its houses with slate-covered frontages, painted frequently by artists. There have been many notable artists, including, Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Jongkind.
