The 458 Speciale was unveiled in 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show as the high performance variant of the 458 Italia. Distinctions of the Speciale over the standard 458 Italia are the forged wheels, vented bonnet, finned side sills, a taller rear spoiler and redesigned bumpers, which include active aerodynamics designed by Ferrari Styling Centre in cooperation with Pininfarina; front and rear movable flaps balance downforce and cut drag at speed. The engine was revised, with power increased to 597bhp (605 PS). Between 2013-15 a limited 3000 Speciales were built

This is one of the cars that I photographed at the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017. It's a Ferrari 458 Italia which has a 4,497cc V8 Ferrari F136 F engine. It was produced between 2010 and 2015 replacing the Ferrari F430, and was itself eventually replaced by the Ferrari 488.

Italian charm

A much extended holiday in Spain ensured I visited as many Chinese bazaars as I could in the endless search of off branded cheapo Chinese diecasts to add to my collection. I'd say I was rather too successful as I did find masses of them, most of them would understandably be ignored by the majority of collectors, but i've long had an obsession with low end tat like this.
What I believe is supposed to represent some kind of Ferrari, probably a 458 Italia, and is perhaps one of the most realistic looking models in the Yi Jia Yi line up.
Robustly built with painted front detailing, an interior and ridiculously premium looking wheels for its price point.

Lots of T.NA branded diecasts in just one large Chinese bazaar I visited in Vilafranca Spain ensuring another one of their clunky Ferrari 458 Italia based came home with me. Not the most flattering way to present a Ferrari based model but at this low price point nothing is sacred or off the table.

Generously proportioned Ferrari 458 Italia by a company called Tianna Toys who are more known by their T.NA brand and do in fact offer a rather sizeable assortment of different models, all unlicensed.
Stretching credibility by offering this Ferrari in a Police livery and cementing its role as nothing more than a cheap toy car aimed squarely at young children. Quality is fair for the price with a metal body, interior and pullback function.
Found recently at a huge Chinese bazaar in Vilanova.

With HTI and their generic Teamsterz range ruling the roost here in the UK when it comes to budget 1/64 diecasts its heartening to see some other manufacturers at least getting a look in. Tian Hong are fairly well represented here particularly at Smyths but also in various budget stores too and for me at least represent low end diecasts which actually are based on real vehicles.
As Tian hong are notorious at copying mainly the two Mattel brands i'm presuming this is a copy of the Hot Wheels Ferrari 458 Italia with styling altered just a touch in order to avoid the lawyers.
Pretty crisply cast for its price point and although it ain't no Matchbox its well constructed, rolls well and features an interior.
