The season is changing from autumn to winter and the tomato plants have lost their fruit in Grandad's greenhouse. The shelves have emptied, the flowers have wilted and the flickering light has been turned on for the first time in a year, because the days are getting shorter. Grandad's greenhouse is a continuous reflection of the seasons and is a presence older than me by many years. Grandad's greenhouse is a comforting sight as I walk up the garden to meet him.
