While traveling through Thailand, I spent a night in Surat Thani — an old but charming town in the southern part of the country. Unlike the more tourist-heavy destinations, Surat Thani retains a local, authentic character. I visited the town’s bustling night market, which was vibrant and full of energy. The market was lively with local residents enjoying street food, fresh produce, clothes, and handmade goods. It was refreshing to explore a place that felt truly Thai, with very few foreign tourists around. Surat Thani may not be a typical tourist hotspot, but its night market offered a genuine glimpse into everyday Thai life.
Believe it or not, Wendy's is perhaps my favourite fast food burger place. This time, however, instead of my usual Baconator burger, I decided to have their Asiago Ranch Chicken Club with a Caesar Salad. It was pretty good!
I had earlier purchased a Wendy's Frosty Key tag (for CDN$3.00) in support of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, a very worthy cause. This key tag allows me to get a FREE Frosty with any purchase for the rest of the year! It's a great deal for both sides.

Royal Chinese Seafood, in Scarborough, has been my go-to spot for Indian style Hakka Chinese food for many years. Their dishes are well seasoned and the portions are quite good for the price.
I recently introduced a friend to this place and he loved it. We ordered the Manchurian Chicken, General Tsao's Chicken, and Spicy Garlic Fish. Each dish included a bowl of rice.
As usual, the food was delicious, with generous portions resulting in leftovers. I'll be back...

It's always a pleasure to visit aDorryble Delights in Scarborough for their great pastries. One of my favourite teats is their silvanas, aka sans rival. I always have to get these!
Chef Dorry also makes beautiful wedding cakes and a variety of other sweet treats. She even hosts fun workshops for kids.

I've been to Lakay Kusina in Scarborough many times now, but always to enjoy their Kamayan Feast. I've always been tempted to try the foods from their steam table and today was the day!
Owner, Ariel, one of the nicest restaurateurs, was my guide, choosing a few popular dishes for me to take home. Although I don't know the names of the dishes, they were all delicious! I'll definitely have to try more!
