I saw these guy while in Galveston and to me, it looks like the one Seagull is saying, "OK, I'm putting my foot down this time." ..;) But, maybe not ..;) I did notice that only one other bird was paying attention. I guess the others have heard it before

While I was taking this shot, a guy walked up to me and asked me if I had any questions about this boat. I said, "Well I was wondering if I could ride out with them for a day and photograph them as they work." He just laughed and said, "when fishing boats this size and up go out, they stay out for months". So, another dream smashed ..;)
I've posted a day shot of this ship but I feel like the night shot looks interesting. I just found out Galveston is offering day sails to tourist. Checked it out on line and it's $300 dollars a person. So, looks like I won't be going out for a day sail anytime soon.
I was lucky to get this shot. One of the few mornings it wasn't raining.
I don't know about the rest of the world but here in the Central Texas hill country it's beautiful. The trees are getting Spring leaves, the wildflowers are popping up everywhere and the tempura is perfect. It won't last lone but I try not to think about that.

I haven't eaten in this restaurant. I plan to on my next trip to Galveston. These little odd ball out of the way places sometimes have the best food.
We had snow over the weekend. More like a little dusting but people were crazy at the grocery store. I pulled in because I needed some milk but there were no parking places and people were waiting in their cars for a place to open up. I decided I didn't really need any milk. It was only going to last one day. Two days later it was worse. The power went out, the Internet was down and we were on boil water. The boil water part was a challenge since my house is all electric. So, I went to town to the coffee shop and had coffee and chocolate chip cookies.
I always wonder why these guys start so early. Does it take all day to catch enough shrimp to make it worth while? I don't know. Seems like a lot of work to me.
Not the person to play poker with..;) My daughter couldn't believe the size of the cruise ships in Galveston. This shot is from an earlier trip. The weather didn't cooperate with our trip and it rained a lot, so we did in door tourist stuff. Her and grandson still had a great time. Neither had ever been to Galveston
