A delicate white lotus flower, its tips kissed with pink, modestly peeks from behind vibrant green lotus leaves. This gentle bloom reveals its quiet beauty, a symbol of purity emerging from the depths.
It is cloudy, with occasional drizzles, but hot. The good news is there is little or no wind, perfect for taking macro shots.

Best seen large, with wild fields of blue lupine wildflowers are a joy to hikers and bees. Named for the wolf, lupin comes in several vivid colours. This field in Kern County California is in the southern Sequoia National Forest near the Kern River. Below is a link to more lupine beauty.

Sometimes I wish I could embody the qualities of a dandelion. I wish I could easily go where the wind carries me, and thrive wherever I end up. I wish I was as light and flexible and resilient as a dandelion seed. Until then, I just admire the beauty of the banal dandelion (as long as it's not on my lawn).
What drew me in was the subtle layering with the light dancing across the trees, textures in dialogue, and then, almost hidden, a pair of figures sharing something quietly. Not staged, not posed—just found. That’s where the magic is.
