An incredible butterfly with a bold pattern of eyespots and bars on the upper wing surface. It likes to live near mangrove trees because its caterpillars eat the leaves of the tree. I was lucky to take a photo while it was in flight on its way to a wetland area of our local park. 3rd place winner in the October 2010 photo contest, All Nature's Paradise.
