This morning my wife and I were looking through old cookbooks online, I found this recipe in a cookbook from 1922.
This afternoon I went to the grocery store to get the shrimp and the ingredients for the recipe. I was so intrigued by the recipe I had to try it.
Here is the recipe for French Quarter Sauce.
2 Tablespoons cider vinegar
6 Tablespoons olive oil
3 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
6-7 finely minced anchovies (I used 7)
1 garlic clove, finely minced
Pinch of salt
1 Tablespoon finely minced chives
1 Tablespoon finely minced Italian parsley
Mix all together and chill thoroughly. Add to chilled shrimp
