A wildflower not native to Wisconsin but is a threatened natve wildflower in Illinois. This one is growing in my garden.

Most abundant in Missouri; extirpated from Kansas and Tennessee, and considered quite rare in all other states in range

A brilliant red, 2 in. flower.
Plant hieght: 24 to 36 inches.

Grows in full sun in very well-drained soil.
