In the tree are "wads" of snow.

The people of this region (central Lower Michigan) call them "wads." Isn't that awful?

Since 2016 I have lived in the upstairs of this duplex in beige siding. The dormer has a vent instead of a window. by Tim Kiser

Since 2016 I have lived in the upstairs of this duplex in beige siding. The dormer has a vent instead of a window.

I remember my ex singing along to "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" as we carried belongings upstairs. For awhile in 2016 it seemed like I heard that song everyplace I went.

The house was built in 1923. The original residents probably whistled along to "Dipper Mouth Blues" as they carried their belongings in.

Green-and-white is thought to be an ideal color scheme for Lansing, owing to the presence of Michigan State University in nearby East Lansing.
