American Freedom Train Locomotive X4449 (SP 4-8-4 Northern GS4 class oil burning locomotive 4449) at Kavevies Avenue, near the old ACL-SAL crossover tracks, with the train heading to Saint Petersburg from Clearwater, Florida, 12-10-1976, Fred Clark, Jr. This photo was taken fairly early in the morning and was lightened to show the details. The train will be operating on the old ex ACL line (now SCL) to reach the station in Saint Petersburg where it will be displayed. When looking back on the locomotive you can see two cab crew members with their heads sticking out of the fireman's cab window.
