The National Trust's Brean Down in Somerset jutting out into the Bristol channel is a haven for wildlife. This is the wild Honeysuckle - Lonicera pericylmenum in flower with the sloping cliffs and seaside backdrop. This is the sheltered side of the Downs with lush vegetation almost down to the shoreline.
Compared to the other windswept side this has an almost Mediterranean feel to it.
