The Toronto Street Post Office is the city's seventh post office. The Greek Revival Building, designed by F.W. Cumberland and T. Ridout served in that role from 1853-72, and then as a government building until 1937. After that it served as a Bank of Canada office until 1959 when it was acquired by the Argus Corporation. This building also was were Conrad Black (after gaining control of Argus) was taped removing document boxes. It's been a designated Historic property since 1958 and currently is the offices of an Investment management firm, Morgan Meighen & Associates.
